With Distinguished Participation of TASNEE: Petrochem Arabia closes its activities at the Eastern Region today

Tasnee has participated, through a unique booth, in the First Saudi International Petrochemicals Forum which closed its activities at the International Exhibitions Center at Dhahran, Eastern Region, on 6th of October 2009, with participation of more than (150) local, regional and international companies.
The exhibition was sponsored by HRH Mohammed Bin Fahad Bin Abdelaziz Al-Saud, prince of the Eastern Region, and was inaugurated by HE Solaiman Al-Thinayan, governor of Khober, and lasted for three days.
The exhibition was the most prominent event that took place at the region, and it is expected that it will be more enhanced, particularly after launching of many industrial projects at Jubail last year by The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, amounting SR(54) billion, which will make it an attraction point for opening of new doors to the industrial investment in general and in the petrochemicals in particular.
Such exhibitions and forums are a good opportunity to explore the latest developments in the petrochemicals industry, its level of growth and trends. They are also good opportunity for meeting, discussion and communication between the participant companies in one hand, and with the major international petrochemicals investors in the other hand. It is understood the petrochemicals sector is one of the pillars of world economy, the petrochemicals industry reached unprecedented stage of development over the last two decades, at the world level in general and Saudi Arabia in particular.
The forum embraced more than (100) researchers and petrochemicals experts, who discussed the developments in this sector and the current and future challenges it faces. The forum also discussed the most important investment plans and how to work on them. Dr. Moayyad I. Al-Quertas, TASNEE Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive, participated in the forum as a speaker. He addressed a presentation about "Developments in Petrochemicals Industries and Estimated Demand in Transportation". Dr. Al Qurtas concnetrated in his paper mainly on; Developments of Polymers Production Capacities in Saudi Arabia and the Region, Growth of Diversified Industries, the Basic Needs for Transportation, Distribution Split (TASNEE Petrochemicals as an example), Dammam Port and Challenges, Jubail Port, Jeddah Port, Land Transportation, Logistic Service Providers. He concluded his paper in what is needed for the future.
