Tasnee sponsors and participates in the 11th GPCA forum






As a prominent founding member of the GPCA association, the National Industrialization Company (Tasnee) sponsored and participated in the eleventh Forum organized by the Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA) in collaboration with the British Company, ICI, held in Dubai on 27-29 November, 2016.
Eng. Mutlaq Al-Morished, Tasnee’s CEO, participated as a main speaker and discussed corporate restructuring in Saudi Arabia from a CEO perspective, where he outlined the restructuring process of group of companies and his vision on the outcome of such process.
Eng. Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Khafrah, Tasnee’s Chairman, commented on Tasnee participation, “Tasnee is one of the largest chemicals and petrochemicals companies globally, it is important for us to participate in such local, regional and global prestigious events such as GPCA.”
“During the past ten years, Tasnee provided a new range of unique petrochemical products in the region, including the acrylic acid, butyl acrylate products and super-absorbent polymers and butanol, in addition to its integrated of TiO2 products and process.” Eng. Mubarak added.
With the Saudi Arabia 2020 vision, it is expected for the production capacity of petrochemicals to reach125 million tons of, as such, Tasnee is focused on creating an integrated national system for the development of the petrochemicals and chemicals sectors in the region. The 2020 vision will transform the kingdom to a massive industrial hub and enhance the capabilities of local companies, including Tasnee with its world-class mines and industrial complexes and research centers in Asia, Europe, both Americas and Australia.
The GIBCA forum is considered a leading event for the petrochemicals and chemicals industry in the GCC region, founded in March 2006, and in 2015 the event attracted more than two thousand participants from 52 countries, over 10 years since the founding of the association. The event offers outstanding opportunities for networking and building sustainable relationships between partners, producers, suppliers, and professionals interested in this around the world.
