ROWAD is one of the leading companies in the area of engineering plastic industries. Its products are promoted in more than (20) countries worldwide.
The company always endeavors, in accordance with the national industrial strategy, to attract many technologies and international companies. It developed two sophisticated projects, one of them is in partnership with an American company, which is The Rowad International Industrial Membrane Company Limited, for production of plastic floor membrane, which is used in many vital water projects, and another project of Austrian partnership, which is The Rowad International Packing Company Limited, for production of multi-purpose plastic films including films for wrapping of food.
The company was established in the year 1992, and has two main factories: Rowad Plastic Factory at the Industrial Area in Riyadh and another factory for production of plastic board at Dammam, and they are currently among of the largest factories for recycling of plastic polymers in the Kingdom.
The company is focusing currently on five major industrial sectors:
- Plastic Sheets Sector, including polycarbonate, acrylic, polystyrene and A.B.S.
- Injection Sector including paint containers and car battery casings.
- Plastic Polymers Recycling Sector, including polypropylene, polyethylene, and polystyrene sector.
- Specialized Industrial Insulators, or floor flexible industrial membrane for insulation of water tanks and reservoirs.
- Polypropylene Film (BOPP) for wrapping of food, fast food and cassettes etc. It is expected that production at commercial level shall start in the 4th quarter of 2009.
