RASASS is the largest lead factory in the region, it is the main supplier of lead to batteries factories in Saudi Arabia. The company, since its inception in 1990, continued to develop its operations and to play its role at the industrial development level , through production of high quality lead, as well as its role at environmental protection level which is envisaged in elimination of the adverse effect of lead on the environment.
The company’s products are of high quality, and it also seeks to develop and enhance these in an attempt to introduce unique world class and competitive products that meet the customers needs. To attain this goal, the company has created quality control units in accordance with ISO9002, supported by highly sophisticated laboratories, including utilization of nuclear and chemical analysis instrumentation and devices.
The company has two foundries, one in Riyadh and another in Jeddah. It mainly focuses on collection of spent batteries and recycling of the same for production of lead in accordance with the international standards building on the latest technologies.
The company manages its production process through three production units for production of:
1- Pure lead of high quality, of a purity of 99.98%, which is the main product of the company.
2- Sodium sulfate, which is a by-product.
3- Polypropylene, which is a by-product.
