HD Polyethylene has a density of more than 0,941g/cm3. It is characterized with its resistance to some chemicals, and used for production of cables, packing material, production of milk containers , detergent bottles, food products containers, waste baskets, pipes, and water hoses.
The demand for the high density polyethylene accounts for 43% of the total demand for polyethylene in North-east Asia. The high rate of consumption of this material in China shall contribute towards increasing the imports of the same. In the year 2003, Saudi Arabia replaced South Korea in ranking as the first major exporter of this material to China.
