Tasnee sponsors and participates in the 16th Annual GPCA Forum 2022

In the presence of the company's management, headed by the Chairman, Eng. Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Khafrah, Tasnee concluded its distinguished participation in the 16th session of the annual forum of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Forum, which was held for the first time in Riyadh and inaugurated by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Energy, Tuesday, December 6, and continued during the period December 6-8, 2022, under the title “Chemistry in Action: Shaping a Sustainable Future.”

The GPCA Forum is considered the largest event in the chemicals industry, regionally and globally, with the participation of more than 2,500 representatives of more than 600 companies from 91 countries around the world. In its session this year, the forum discussed the role of the chemical industry in enabling a more sustainable future and highlighting the role of chemicals in providing solutions to many challenges that societies face issues including food security, the circular economy, the transition to clean energy, and investment in innovation.

On the sidelines of the forum, Tasnee held a set of meetings with partners, investors, and customers, and celebrated its partners through the annual partners' dinner. Tasnee also sponsored 4 of its employees to participate in GPCA Youth Program, and many of the company's leaders participated in a group of workshops to share their experiences with the youth generation in the program.

Mr. Mutlaq Al-Morished, also participated as a speaker in the Leadership Dialogue on “Turning the ESG Theory into Action”, to discuss the availability of utilizing local content in driving ESG value creation and its influence on the role of chemical companies in advancing ESG innovation across entire value chains and the role of regional governments in supporting companies with ESG transformation.

Al-Morished also joined another discussion on “Conversation with the Movers and Shakers of the Industry” within the GPCA Youth Forum, as Riyadh city witnessed the launching of its first edition to contribute to empowering the next generation of GCC youth and provide a platform for knowledge exchange between university students and professionals and young workforce Youin the sector, where he participated within a group of prominent leaders in the business sector who shared their professional experiences with the youth audience and discussed with them the role of industry as a provider of solutions and the role of youth in advancing sustainability. In its first session, the Youth Forum, which was held under the slogan “For the Youth. By the Youth”, attracted more than 250 participants from the Arab Gulf countries.

Tasnee’s participation in the forum comes as part of its keenness to contribute to the development of Saudi petrochemical sector in particular and in the Gulf countries in general, and to keep updated with the newest technologies, recognizing the specialists' views, and to exploring successful experiences to benefit from them in improving performance and facing challenges.
