Tasnee sponsored and participated in the success of the International Mining Conference, which succeeded in highlighting the world’s need to promote dialogue and cooperation to meet future demand for strategic minerals, in its second edition, which concluded its activities on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
The conference was held under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, during the period from January 10-12, 2023. The conference witnessed a remarkable presence from Tasnee senior management, led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Khafrah, the CEO, Mr. Mutlaq bin Hamad Al-Morished, and vice-presidents.
The conference witnessed the participation of ministers and government representatives of many countries, as it was held in the presence of more than 12,000 participants including investment leaders, heads of major mining companies, many experts and technical specialists in the field, and representatives of financial institutions, service providers and manufacturers from 130 countries.
Dr. Fadi M. Trabzoni, Tasnee EVP Metallurgy and Managing Director of the Advanced Metal Industries Cluster Company (AMIC), participated in a discussion panel on increasing the region’s contribution to the supply and value chains of strategic minerals, and developing it into an integrated center for producing green minerals. In addition, the conference included a wide range of sessions and events with the participation of a number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies ministers, Their Excellencies ambassadors, and heads of delegations of the countries participating in the conference, in addition to 200 speakers who discussed many topics such as the future of the mining sector and its contributions to the development of societies, the promotion of sustainability and clean energy systems, and attracting direct investments for the mining sector in the region.
Tasnee's participation in this conference reflected the company’s keenness to be present in such important events as the only producer of Titanium Sponge in the Middle East, as it produces 10% of the total global production of this strategic product, which is used in advanced industries, including aircraft industries, and military industries.
