Tasnee participated in addressing «New Age Chemical Supply Chains in Changing World» at the 14th GPCA Supply Chain Conference, which was organized by the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association “GPCA” at the Meridian Al Khobar Hotel during the period 16 - 17 May 2023.
Mr. Saleh Al-Suwaiti, CEO of the National Company for Technical Inspection and Testing (Fahss), affiliate of Tasnee, and Chairman of GPCA Supply Chain Committee, delivered the conference’s opening remarks, as he focussed on the companies’ transformation to innovation and restructuring to ensure business continuity after overcoming the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, stressing the governments and companies’ keenness to support carbon neutrality and achieve net-zero carbon emissions targets.
The conference hosted a group of leading industry experts from the region and the world, and discussed the transformations, the future of chemical supply chains, enhancing competitiveness, the importance of the sector’s infrastructure optimization and sustainability, the impact of regional regulatory changes, and addressing the risks and challenges facing supply chains.
Mr. Muhammad Al-Tamimi, Tasnee Manager of Raw Materials Procurement, also participated as a speaker in the strategic panel on "Harnessing the TradeTech Potential" to reach more efficient, inclusive and sustainable trade in the future, as part of the conference’s second day activities.
Our colleague Shahd Al-Dhubaiban, Section Head, CM - MRO Procurement, won the «Women in Supply Chains» Award within the fourth edition of the GPCA Awards for Excellence in Supply Chains.
