The National Batteries Company “NBC” and the National Lead Smelting Company Ltd. “Rasass” concluded their distinct participation in the 20th edition of Automechanika Dubai 2023, which was held in Dubai World Trade Center from 2 - 4 October 2023.
The Automechanika Dubai exhibition is the largest international trade exhibition in the Middle East and Africa for the vehicle after-sales services sector. About 1,900 companies from more than 60 countries participated in the exhibition and it received more than 45,000 visitors. Sustainability and efficiency topped the agenda as part of innovation in the field and has seen many innovative products, services and technologies.
Eng. Saeed Al-Ajrafi, Tasnee VP Downstream, stressed the keenness of Tasnee and its subsidiaries to attend the Automechanika Dubai as one of the most important regional exhibitions specialized in the automobile and spare parts industry, where two of Tasnee subsidiaries “NBC” and “Rasass” participated showcasing a unique collection of their products within a group of international companies specialized in the field of vehicle after-sale services. The latest innovations and technologies used in the automobile industry and its accessories were displayed in the exhibition.
NBC, an affiliate of Tasnee, is considered one of the first manufacturers of automotive dry batteries locally and regionally. It provides a variety of car batteries, including sealed maintenance free batteries that do not require maintenance (SMF), and ordinary batteries for all types of vehicles, according to Saudi, Japanese, European, and American standards, to meet the local, GCC and international markets requirements.
Rasass, another affiliate of Tasnee, is one of the largest producers of lead in the region, and it is one of the main suppliers of high-quality lead to battery factories in Saudi Arabia. The company owns two smelters, in Riyadh and Jeddah. It mainly focuses on recycling used batteries to produce lead according to the international standards and using the latest technologies.
